MEET THE TEAM

PROGRAM MANAGER

Ashley Clark earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania; Masters Degrees in Psychology from Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, Pennsylvania and Mental Health Counseling from Walden University virtual campus; and her doctorate in Counseling Education and Supervision from Walden University virtual campus. Dr. Clark brings with her several years of experience working with adolescents and adults in various settings. She has provided individual, group, and family mental health counseling as well as has worked as a vocational counselor for individuals with disabilities. Dr. Clark is currently a counselor in residency in order to complete all requirements towards her licensed professional counselor (LPC) as well as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC)  and Certified Rehabilitation Practitioner (CRP). She is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC), Distance Certified Counselor (DCC), and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). Dr. Clark is active in research and publications within the counseling field and has presented nationally and internationally on topics regarding mental health and disability.

LICENSED CLINICIAN

Ashton Morse graduated from the College of William and Mary with Bachelor’s Degrees in Theatre and Psychology.  He also earned his Master’s Degree in Community Counseling at the College of William and Mary.  Ashton has worked as a counselor for a year at Rivermont School in Hampton, an alternative school, assisting middle and high school students with various mental health issues.  He interned for a year at Bacon St in Williamsburg, an agency providing counseling services for teenagers dealing with substance use issues and their families, while obtaining his master’s degree.  Before joining the Young Adult Coordinated Care Program, Ashton worked for RRCS as a Crisis Services clinician assisting children and adults in mental health related crises.  He occasionally facilitates events at the William and Mary ropes course leading groups through activities to develop teamwork and communication skills.  Ashton is currently in residency and working towards getting licensed as an LPC.

SUPPORT COORDINATOR

Katherine "Katie" Lindsay is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh where she earned her bachelor in science degree in Psychology. During that time, Katie had the opportunity to intern with the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since graduating,

Katie has had the opportunity to work in various roles and settings within the mental health field. She has served as a Mileu Therapist, Medicaid Eligibility Specialist and Case Manager, a Program Manager and Prevention Specialist at the Warren County Council on Domestic Violence, in home counselor, and therapeutic day treatment counselor.

PLACEMENT SPECIALIST

We are currently in the process of recruiting for an individual placement specialist. In the meantime, our team will be working to help our participants in their employment and educational goals.

PEER SPECIALIST

Cory Will is a Certified Peer Support Specialist and 17 year Marine Corps veteran. Following multiple combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan Cory was diagnosed with Chronic/Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and lasting effects from multiple instances of Traumatic Brain Injury. After years of navigating the Mental Health System, Cory was able to learn to live with his Mental Health Challenges through a Person-Centered Model with a large element of peer support. Immediately following his retirement from the Marine Corps, Cory attended Peer Support Specialist Training in North Carolina and earned his Certification. Cory has also become certified in Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) developed by Dr. Copeland, QPR Suicide Intervention and Prevention developed by Dr. Quinnett. In addition, he has participated in multiple seminars and virtual course work in Mental Health. Cory continues to work expanding his knowledge of the Mental Health Community, Peer Support Advocacy, and will be returning to school to pursue a Bachelors degree in Psychology. Cory will be working directly with our adolescent and young adult participants to support in their recovery.

Allison “Alli” Lowden has just recently joined the Young Adult Coordinated Care (YACC) team as the Family Support Peer Specialist. This past spring, she graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences, Public Health, and a minor in Substance Abuse Prevention. She is native to the Culpeper area and interned with the YACC program during her last semester at JMU. Her role as a family peer support specialist will include drawing from her own experiences with mental illness within her family to help our participants' support systems with their experiences in supporting a loved one with mental health issues. She hopes to be able to provide encouragement, motivation, and education to the families and friends of those participating in the program.

PSYCHIATRIST

The Young Adult Coordinated Care program has teamed up with Iris Telehealth to provide psychiatric services. Psychiatric services will be available through virtual interactions between Iris staff and program participants through a confidential and secure program.
